About Partnership for Nonprofit Organizations

HandsOn Genesee is the volunteer center for Genesee County and a program of Resource Genesee. We are proud to offer this website for your use.

Nonprofit 501(c) 3 organizations, schools, colleges, faith-based and community groups as well as government agencies (no political campaigns) are all eligible to become partners with HandsOn Genesee and apply for use of this volunteer recruitment and management website. And it's free!

By becoming a partner agency, you will benefit by having all of your volunteer needs advertised to thousands of volunteers in Flint and Genesee County. Our goal is to have this site serve as one stop shopping for volunteering in Genesee County.

Start by filling out the Sign Up/Registration form (to the left).
 Be sure to click on the entire drop down menu so your application is complete.

Next, HandsOn Genesee will send you an email to let you know you have been approved to use the system.

Training

You will want to schedule time with us to train you to use the system. We will also provide you with a printed version of the "Using the HandsOn Connect Partner Portal" manual which is also available online under Organization Resources. Once you learn to use the system you can create as many one-time or ongoing volunteer opportunities as you like. *HandsOn Genesee reserves the right to limit or revoke access to HandsOn Connect. This system is intended to present and recruit volunteer opportunities for the community. Misuse or abuse of the system may result in termination of access. Nonprofits that do not continue to list volunteer opportunities will be made inactive. However, they can reactivate their organization upon request. We are always willing to train new staff to an organization.
