I posted a referral opportunity with you and haven’t received any emails. Why am I not getting any volunteers? What can I do to attract more people to the opportunity?
Referral opportunities tend to get slightly less press. However, many volunteers come to our site looking for longer term, specialized, or fundraising types of volunteer opportunities, and it’s through the search box that they find your event. Make sure you include keywords in your title and description. Give the title catchy boosts that will make potential volunteers want to click and learn more!
We organize an annual Volunteer Expo usually in October. It's one-stop shopping for volunteer opportunities and gives nonprofit groups a chance to talk to hundreds of potential volunteers and supporters all in one place! Booths are available for nonprofit groups. There are also awards, door prizes and more! Contact Julia Zaher, (810)232-6285 for more information.
