Mission & Vision

HandsOn Genesee is the volunteer center for Flint and Genesee County, Michigan. HandsOn Genesee is a program of Resource Genesee. HandsOn Genesee is an affiliate of the HandsOn Network, a national organization of volunteer centers across the US, Canada and several other countries.

Here are a few of the ways we want to be of service to individuals and organizations:

• Help individuals and groups to find meaningful volunteer opportunities, whether it be for a one-time activity or an ongoing commitment.

• Provide an online site for potential volunteers to seek out volunteer opportunities, offer their special skills and track their efforts.

• Give nonprofit organizations, corporate, civic and faith-based groups, schools, colleges and universities an online site to organize, recruit for and track their volunteer-based efforts.

• Provide resources, connections and guidance to organizations in their volunteer efforts.

We know that you want to give back and create the kind of caring, generous, creative community we all long to share in. Our staff is small but our hearts are big! Along with you we want to be the change we wish to see in the world, as Gandhi said.
